Availability & Time Off

Control when customers can book appointments and block time for vacations or breaks.

1

Setting Your Weekly Schedule

Define your regular business hours for each day of the week.

Go to Settings → Business Hours to set your schedule:

  1. Find the day you want to configure (Monday through Sunday)
  2. Toggle the switch ON to mark the day as a working day
  3. Set your opening time (when you start accepting appointments)
  4. Set your closing time (when your last appointment can end)
  5. Repeat for each day you're available

Example Schedule

Monday - Friday9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
SundayClosed

Tip: Customers can only book appointments within your business hours. Time slots are calculated based on your availability and service duration.

2

Blocking Specific Dates

Mark individual dates as unavailable for vacations, holidays, or personal time.

To block a specific date:

  1. Go to Settings → Business Hours
  2. Click "Block Time"
  3. Select "One-Time Block"
  4. Choose the date you want to block
  5. Optionally add a note (e.g., "Public Holiday", "Vacation")
  6. Click "Block Date" to save

Common Uses

  • • Public holidays (e.g., Independence Day, Christmas)
  • • Personal vacation days
  • • Medical appointments
  • • Training or conferences

Important: Blocking a date does not cancel existing bookings on that date. Check your calendar before blocking and reschedule any affected appointments manually.

3

Setting Up Recurring Time Off

Block time that repeats on a regular schedule.

For time off that repeats regularly:

  1. Go to Settings → Business Hours
  2. Click "Block Time"
  3. Select "Recurring Block"
  4. Choose the recurrence pattern (Daily or Weekly)
  5. For weekly, select which day(s) of the week
  6. Optionally add a note
  7. Click "Create Block"

Daily Recurring

Blocks every day. Useful for lunch breaks or daily prep time.

Weekly Recurring

Blocks the same day each week. Useful for regular days off or team meetings.

Example: Block every Wednesday for inventory and admin tasks, or block noon-1pm daily for lunch.

4

Managing Blocked Time

View, edit, or remove time blocks you've created.

Your blocked time appears in the Settings → Business Hours section:

  • View all blocks – See a list of your one-time and recurring blocks
  • Delete blocks – Remove blocks you no longer need

When you delete a recurring block, all future occurrences are removed. Past blocks remain in your history.

5

Buffer Time Between Appointments

Automatically add preparation or cleanup time around bookings.

Buffer time is set per service, not globally. To add buffer time:

  1. Go to Services
  2. Edit the service you want to add buffer time to
  3. Scroll to the Buffer Time section
  4. Set Buffer Before and/or Buffer After
  5. Save your changes

How Buffer Time Works

  • Buffer Before: Time blocked before the appointment starts
  • Buffer After: Time blocked after the appointment ends
  • • Customers only see the service duration, not the buffer
  • • Buffer time prevents back-to-back bookings

Example: A 60-minute massage with 15-minute buffer after means the next available slot won't start until 75 minutes after the massage begins.
